Caribbean Ports Closed To Cruise Ships

Cruise Ports in Caribbean and Mexico Open to Ships, Some Restrictions Remain

Most Ports Welcome Cruise Ships

Most cruise ports in the Caribbean and Mexico are now open to cruise ships, but some ships or passengers may still be denied entry. Some Caribbean ports that are open to cruise ships in 2022 include Nassau, St. Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, and Martinique.

Some Ports Still Closed or Restricted

The latest situation began this week when the Caribbean Island nations of Curacao, Aruba, and Bonaire all denied entry to cruise ships. The Port Authority of Jamaica has confirmed that all three cruise ports on the tropical island nation are open, including Montego Bay.

Royal Caribbean has not announced any further itinerary changes. PortMiami closed to cruise traffic on Sunday but reopened early Sunday afternoon.
