Jade Ashtyn Carey (born May 27, 2000) is an American artistic gymnast who represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, Carey began her gymnastics training at the age of three. She quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a member of the U.S. National Team in 2017.

Olympic Success

Carey's Olympic debut came at the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo, where she competed in the individual all-around and floor exercise events. Despite a fall during the floor exercise final, she rallied to win the gold medal with a score of 14.366. This victory marked a significant achievement for Carey, making her the first American woman to win gold in the floor exercise at the Olympics since Carly Patterson in 2004.
