Nearly two years after unveiling Avengers 5 as The Kang Dynasty at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has announced a significant change to the film's title. The highly anticipated sequel to Avengers: Endgame will now be known as Avengers: Doomsday.

The retitle, according to Feige, reflects a substantial shift in the film's storyline and overall tone. "While the initial concept for The Kang Dynasty remains at its core, the story has evolved and expanded in unexpected ways," Feige explained. Avengers: Doomsday is set to release in theaters on November 7, 2025, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
