Bjp Holds Strong Lead In Pre Poll Survey

Indian Prime Minister Modi's Party Projected to Win 2024 Election

BJP Holds Strong Lead in Pre-Poll Survey

Congress Faces Challenges with New Coalition

NEW DELHI, India (Reuters) - Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ruling Hindu nationalist party is expected to secure a majority in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, according to a recent pre-poll survey conducted by a renowned polling agency.

The survey indicates that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) holds a significant lead over its rivals, with an estimated vote share of 37%. The main opposition party, the Indian National Congress, is projected to win only 21% of the vote, a decline from their previous performance.

To strengthen its position, the Congress has formed a coalition with 27 smaller parties. However, the survey suggests that this strategy may not be enough to challenge the BJP's dominance.

The poll also highlights the growing popularity of regional parties, which are expected to play a significant role in the election. The Aam Aadmi Party, led by Arvind Kejriwal, is projected to make significant gains, particularly in the northern states of India.

The 2024 General Election in India will be crucial for the country's political landscape and is expected to witness a fierce battle between the BJP and its rivals.
