Before the hard work for the London Knights begins next week when they open training camp, 36 members of the organization took part in the 10th annual Alumni Golf Tournament Monday at Fire Rock Golf Club.

"It was great to get old friends back together, meet some of the new guys and hopefully see the future of the London Knights," said associate coach Rick Steadman, who was one of the organizers of the tournament. "(The alumni) were excited about the year with all the young guys coming in. They're excited about the team and the season."
"This is our first year here," said Jim McKichan, a former Knights defenceman who now works as a scout for the New York Islanders. "It's a beautiful course and a great venue. It was a chance to catch up with old friends."
"This is my ninth one. Every year it gets better," said former goalie Steve Mason, who split the day between the golf course and London Ice Centre, where he skated with some of the Knights' younger prospects.
